Jenny has a new outfit, sort of...While digging through some things at my folks I found this sweet pink skirt that was the first thing I remember sewing when I was 8 or 9 probably. My mom had my sister and I go to an older lady's home for sewing lessons. This skirt is hand stitched including a flat-fell-seam in the back and button hole. The fabric was scraps from a quilt my mom made me around that time. I still have the quilt which originally had a ruffle made from the rosebud fabric you see here. For storage purposes I removed the ruffle but it lives in my fabric stash. The skirt isn't worn out because I never had a doll it fit. Today I pinned it on Jenny and made a top to go with from the rosebud ruffle fabric. So sweet, good memories!
